(0:12) If tonight you stood in heaven’s court;
\nto seek eternal favor…
\nWould you face Jesus Christ as Judge;
\nor face Him as your Saviour?
\nThere are many who don’t quite know for sure;
\nwhat that verdict would be…if ever…
\nSo lets imagine for a moment
\nyou are standing dead center…
\nIn the Courtroom of Forever…<\/p>\n
(0:35) Instrumental<\/p>\n
(0:55) Sitting before you is a structure;
\nmassive and intense.
\nIt’s here where your fate will be determined;
\nbefore this Judge’s bench…
\nThen a voice booms:
\n“This Court’s now in session.”
\nAnd your adrenaline starts to rush.
\nPeering down with eyes;
\nthat see through your soul..
\nIs God the Father, your Judge.<\/p>\n
(1:26) Then off to your left;
\nacross the room…
\nIs the virtual silhouette of sin.
\nStepping out of the shadows of condemnation;
\nyour worst nightmare walks in.
\nOn his face is the smirk of evil incarnate;
\nhis mind fixed on your destruction in Hell.
\nYou’ve just been introduced to you prosecuting attorney;
\nnone other than Satan himself.<\/p>\n
(1:55) The Bible says he’s the accuser of the brethren;
\nso guess what he’s gonna do.
\nHe’s gonna accuse you of your sins;
\nand he knows them all…Both the old ones and the new.
\nHe’s prepared his case for years;
\nnow the golden moment is his.
\nSo in arrogance he presents his case to the Judge;
\nand it comes out sounding something like this…<\/p>\n
(2:20) “God, you see this worthless piece of trash over here!
\nThis one is a sinner to the core! This one’s committed adultery,
\ncursed his neighbors, stolen money, been into drugs, alcohol
\nand even more! This hopeless wretch has even slandered his friends!
\nAnd by the guilty face, the whole courtroom can tell. That to a\u00a0 moral
\ncertainty and beyond any reasonable doubt, this one deserves eternal
\njudgement in Hell!”<\/p>\n
(2:46) The words of accusation still echo;
\nyour every sin thrown up in your face…
\nThen God opens the book;
\nwhere every deed is recorded…
\nAnd reviews your records of disgrace.
\nGod says “The book says you did this, this, and this and everything
\nyou were accused of today. Now before I sentence you to Hell forever;
\nare there any last words you have to say?”<\/p>\n
(3:13) …Now if it’s true you were standing there;
\nin the Courtroom of Eternity.
\nWith God to your front, and Satan-the prosecuter-to your left.
\nThere’s one remaining eternal truth;
\none that’s crucial to remember…
\nOne you should never, ever, ever forget…<\/p>\n
(3:33) Then, on the other side of the Courtroom…
\n(doom music)
\nI said, on the other side of the Courtroom…
\n(doom music)
\nYou ain’t hearing me tonight;
\nI said, ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COURTROOM!
\n(doom music)<\/p>\n
(3:50) …Is the one and only Son of God;
\nrevealed in time and space.
\nAnd he’s your defense attorney;
\nwho has never lost a case!
\nIt’s not Buddha, Muhammad, or Krishna;
\nor any others who succumb to death!
\nLadies and gentlemen;
\non the other side of The Courtroom,
\nis Jesus Christ of Nazareth!<\/p>\n
(4:20) Then Jesus jumps up, says:
\n“Now what a minute Judge! I got something to say! May I remind you
\nthat on a cross 2000 years ago, I washed his sins away! I was
\ncrucified, I died, they put me in a tomb-about the midnight
\nhour–the power of God hit me and I walked out of that grave, alive
\nand well with resurrection power!”<\/p>\n
(4:47) Then the devil says:
\n“It’s in the book! It’s written in the book! Check the book!”<\/p>\n
God said:
\n“Okay.”
\nThen He takes the book out, lays it open and says:
\n“Now we’ll see what this book has to say.”<\/p>\n
He turns to the first page…
\nThe second page…
\nThe third…
\nBy the fourth, the devil seemed shook…<\/p>\n
God closes it, says:
\n“The blood of Jesus must of worked…cause there’s absolutely
\nnothing in this book.”<\/p>\n
(5:10) The devil says:
\n“Now what a minute, check that book again! All his sins are written
\ndown, they’re all right there!<\/p>\n
God says:
\n“Devil, maybe you’re mistaken all together. Maybe it’s this other book
\ndown here…”<\/p>\n
Devil cries:
\n“NO!! Not that book! Not that one!”<\/p>\n
God said:
\n“Devil, why you so uptight?”<\/p>\n
(5:26) God sets the book down…
\nThe dust flies…
\nAnd on the cover it says: The Lamb’s Book of Life!<\/p>\n
(5:35) Is your name in that book?
\nIs your name in that book?
\nIs your name in that book for sure?<\/p>\n
If you’ve been forgiven…
\nAnd your name is written…
\nThen raise your hands-praise the Lord.<\/p>\n
Yes, my name’s in that book…
\nYes, My name is in that book…
\nYes, My name is in that book tonight…<\/p>\n
I’ve been forgiven…
\nAnd I know my name is written…
\nIn the Lamb’s Book of Life…
\nIn the Lambs Book of Life<\/p>\n
(three blows of the mallet)<\/p>\n
This court is adjourned…<\/p>\n
