DRAMA Ministry seeks to equip its members in Bible study skills. To that end we maintain the following list of free, online resources for their use (in no particular order).
- http://www.blueletterbible.org/ – This site has a fairly comprehensive list of study tools including encyclopedias and dictionaries as well as searchable Bibles. <- Tim and Samuel recommends.
- http://www.biblegateway.com/ – a searchable bible with many translations and some additional resources.
- http://net.bible.org/bible.php – a heavily foot-noted study bible with links to scholarly articles, historical and archaeological information. <- Tim recommends.
- http://www.e-sword.net/ – the best free Bible software. Tim recommends downloading at least the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia and Nave’s Topical add-ons (both also free) with the main program itself.
- http://biblos.com/ – a site for viewing bible passages in several translations at once.
- http://hcsb.broadmanholman.com/crossmain.asp – online version of the Holman Christian Standard Bible.
- http://www.gnpcb.org/esv/ – online version of the English Standard Version.
- http://www.leaderu.com/ – a resource from Campus Crusade for Christ containing articles and papers on various topics by faculty of their Christian Leadership Ministries, the training branch of CCC.
- http://www.studylight.org/ – This site allows you to search by Biblical passage and access lots of online resources related to that passage.
- http://www.ccel.org/search – an extensive searchable online collection of Christian writings including many of the Early Church Fathers’ writings like Augustine and Athenasius. <- Tim recommends.
