Here are the prayer requests. I thought this was a neat way of doing it because everyone got to put their prayer requests into their own words. I just wish I could have added the very odd-looking person that was drawn on Ben’s paper. It’s kind of amusing, mostly just disturbing, and it makes me smile every time I look at it. But anyway, here they are:
Phil: School is as hard as ever, a little behind. ~ Devos, it’s a struggle to find time for them. ~ Needs a good attitude throughout the day. ~ Praise! Doing more stuff with his Dad. Enjoys programming.
Lydia: Diligence in getting college applications done, and persistence in praying about the future. ~ Learn final skills of driving before test. ~ Stop letting perfection/excessive self-criticism become idols. ~ Praise! Been having great talks with parents. ~ Needs to find a balance of time with friends and giving herself solitary time. ~ Be more consistent with devotions.
Rachael: Praise! Her brother’s wedding went beautifully! ~ She getting her wisdom teeth out on Friday, for safe surgery and quick recovery. ~ Motivation to do school (feeling very lazy). ~ Wants to go to Colombia, but has fears about fund-raising.
Alisha: Bible study application, examining motives. ~ Praise! She got off work for Thursday’s outreach! ~ Finding time to work on Bible study, which is in two weeks.
Scott(a.k.a. Bob): School, to keep up with it. ~ Do better on devos, and to find time for them. ~ Applying for more jobs.
Tim: Praise! Epsilon is starting back up. ~ Discipline in leading four teams. ~ Wisdom in church decision. Thinking of switching to Iglesia Christiana de York. ~ Still working on Spanish! ~ Wisdom in booking DRAMA’s 2014 schedule and dealing with/accepting unknowns in both ministry and relationships.
Jaybin: Bible study is next week. ~ School. ~ Devos, need to do them more often. ~ Need to work on goals.
Lenita: Future plans, trusting God for his calling in her life. ~ Applying the Bible study, knowing what to say and when to say it. ~ Being content with God has her. ~ Liking her job more.
Ben: Manage his time better (slow to get to work on school, wastes time). ~ Seek direction for future. ~ Find ways to apply scripture. ~ Praise/request, Starting to participate on church worship team.
Chris: Praise! His dad got home from Nebraska safely. ~ Wisdom for a variety of decisions coming up. ~ Schedule is busy, it has been difficult re-adjusting to the busyness. ~ Epsilon starting. ~ Personal devotions need work. ~ Outreach coming up.
Emily: Safety as she learns to drive (but praise, that she enjoys it). ~ Looking for a job. ~ Wisdom for decision about Colombia. ~ Praise! Bible study for youth group went very well.
