This Baby

Stephen Curtis Chapman

Well, He cried when He was hungry,
Did all the things that babies do;
He rocked and He napped on His mother’s lap,
And He wiggled and giggled and cooed.
There were the cheers when He took His first step,
And the tears when He got His first teeth;
Almost everything about this little baby
Seemed as natural as it could be.

CHORUS
But this baby made the angels sing,
And this baby made a new star shine in the sky.
This baby had come to change the world.
This baby was God’s own son, this baby was like no other one.
This baby was God with us, this baby was Jesus.

And this baby grew into a young boy,
Who learned to read and write and wrestle with dad;
There was the climbin’ of trees and the scrapin’ of knees,
And all the fun that a boy’s born to have.
He grew taller and some things started changing,
Like His complexion and the sound of His voice;
There was work to be done as a carpenter’s son
And all the neighbors said He’s such a fine boy.

But this boy made the angels sing,
And this boy made a new star shine in the sky.
This boy had come to change the world.
This boy was God’s own son, this boy was like no other one.
This boy was God with us. This boy became a man,

And love made Him laugh and death made Him cry.
With the life that He lived and the death that He died,
He showed us heaven with His hands and His heart,
‘Cause this man was God’s own son.
This man was like no other one,
Holy and human right from the start.

(chorus)

This baby was God with us, this baby, this baby was Jesus; this baby was Jesus, this baby was Jesus.

Thief

Third Day

I am a thief, I am a murderer
Walking up this lonely hill
What have I done? I don’t remember
No one knows just how I feel
and I know that my time is coming soon.
It’s been so long. Oh, such a long time
Since I’ve lived with peace and rest
Now I am here, my destination
guess things work for the best
and I know that my time is coming soon
Who is this man? This man beside me

They call the King of the Jews
They don’t believe that He’s the Messiah
But, somehow I know it’s true.
And they laugh at Him in mockery,
and beat Him till he bleeds
They nail Him to the rugged cross,
and raise Him, they raise Him up next to me
My time has come, I’m slowly fading
I deserve what I receive

Jesus when You are in Your kingdom
Could You please remember me
and He looks at me still holding on
the tears fall from His eyes
He says I tell the truth
Today, you will live with Me in paradise
and I know that my time is coming soon
and I know paradise is coming soon

There is a God

Carman

(0:52) 93 million miles from the blistering surface of the sun hangs the planet earth. A rotating sphere perfectly suspended in the center of the universe. The ultimate creation from an infinite mind. An unbelievably intricate complex design. A supernatural testimony, an irrefutable sign that there is a God.

(1:34) The size, position and angle of the earth is a scientific phenomenon to see. A few degrees closer to the sun we’d disintegrate, a few degrees further we’d freeze. The axis of the earth is titled at a perfect 23 degree angle and it’s no mistake that it is. This allows equal global distribution to the rays of the sun making it possible for the food chain to exist.

(2:01) Or take for example the combination of nitrogen and oxygen in the atmosphere we breathe every day. It just happens to be the exact mix that life needs to prosper, it doesn’t happen on any other planet that way.

(2:14) You see, the Bible says the invisible things of God are seen through His creation, to believe this is not hard. If there’s a design, there’s a designer; if there’s a plan, there’s a planner; and if there’s a miracle, there is a God.

CHORUS:
(2:26) There is a hope, there is a light
There is an answer to all answers
There is a flame that burns in the night
And I know, I know, I know there is a God

(3:02) The Scripture says the heavens declare the glory of God and the skies proclaim the work of His hands. If we allow our minds to drink in all  the truth that just surrounds us, creation itself with help us understand.

(3:15) Did you know the moon controls the tides, it’s the maid that cleans the oceans. Even the waves don’t crash the shores in vain. The tides drag impurities from the depths of the sea. It’s nature’s constant recycling chain.

(3:28) It simply boggles the mind to think that the stars will rotate with such exact precision that it’s true that the atomic clock with an error factor of less than three seconds per millennium is set by the way they move.

(3:42) Though they silently orbit, the sun, the moon, the stars are like celestial evangelists above. Who circle the earth every 24 hours shouting in every language that there is a God. Atheism is the wedge under the foundation of our faith, trying to topple our relationship with Christ. When the fool said in his heart, there is no God, he rejects the truth God painted on the canvas of the night. Atheism has never created an artistic masterpiece, never healed a fatal disease or calmed a fear. Atheism has never still given answers to our existence, peace to a troubled mind or even dried a tear.

(4:24) For it’s God who created heaven and earth and flung the stars in space and breathed in the handful of dirt and it became a man. It’s God who sits on the circle of the earth and measures the mountains in a scale, and holds the seven seas in the palm of His hand. It’s God who sent His only begotten Son to the cross of Calvary to save our souls from Hell and the grave. It’s God who creates, God who delivers, God who heals and who is worthy of a thunderous ovation of praise.

(4:54) There is a hope, there is a light
There is an answer to all answers
There is a flame that burns in the night
And I know, I know, I know there is a God

(5:28) There is a hope, there is a light
There is an answer to all answers
There is a flame that burns in the night
And I know, I know, I know there is a God

(6:00) There is a God, there is a God
And I know, I know, I know there is a God

Symphony of Praise

Steve Green

(0:07) The composer and conductor of the universe
Steps before the orchestra of God
Creation lifts their finely crafted instruments
As all in heaven wildly applaud

(0:40) The seasons well rehearsed begin with His downbeat
And on his cue the sun trumpets the dawn
The whirling winds swell in a mighty crescendo
With each commanding sweep of His baton
The oceans pound the shore in march to His cadence
The galaxies all revolve in cosmic rhyme
The fall of raindrops all in wild syncopation
As lightning strikes and thunder claps in time

(1:27) The symphony of praise
Conducted by the Ancient of Days
May each creation great or small
Lift their voices one and all
In the symphony of praise

(2:00) Heaven waits in hushed anticipation
The great I AM then turns to mortal men
A massive chorus robed in spotless garments
Offer up their song of praise to Him
The glories of God explode in full orchestration
As all creation joins the thunderous refrain
(2:38) “Worthy, Worthy
WORTHY IS THE LAMB THAT WAS SLAIN”

(2:51) The symphony of praise
Glory to the Ancient of Days
May each creation great or small
Lift their voices one and all
In the symphony of praise

(3:17) “Worthy, Worthy
WORTHY IS THE LAMB THAT WAS SLAIN
Worthy, Worthy
WORTHY IS THE LAMB”

(3:44) The symphony of praise
Conducted by the Ancient of Days
May each creation great or small
Lift their voices one and all
In the symphony of praise

Surrender All

Surrender All
by Clay Crosse

(0:06) I have wrestled in the darkness of this lonely pilgrim land
Raising strong and mighty fortresses that I alone command
But these castles I’ve constructed by the strength of my own hand
Are just temporary kingdoms on foundations made of sand

(0:35) In the middle of the battle I believe I’ve finally found
I’ll never know the thrill of victory ’til I’m willing to lay down
All my weapons of defense and earthly strategies of war
So I’m laying down my arms and running helplessly to Yours

(1:03) I surrender all my silent hopes and dreams
Though the price to follow costs me everything
I surrender all my human soul desires
If sacrifice requires
That all my kingdoms fall
I surrender all

(1:40) If the source of my ambition is the treasure I obtain
If I measure my successes on a scale of earthly gain
If the focus of my vision is the status I attain
My accomplishments are worthless and my efforts are in vain

(2:09) So I lay aside these trophies to pursue a higher crown
And should You choose somehow to use the life I willingly lay
down
I surrender all the triumph for it’s only by Your grace
I relinquish all the glory, I surrender all the praise

(2:37)  I surrender all my silent hopes and dreams
Though the price to follow costs me everything
I surrender all my human soul desires
If sacrifice requires
That all my kingdoms fall
I surrender all

(3:15) Everything I am, all I’ve done, and all I’ve known
Now belongs to You, the life I live is not my own
Just as Abraham laid Isaac on the sacrificial fire
If all I have is all that You desire
I surrender all

(3:56) I surrender all my human soul desires
If sacrifice requires
That all my kingdoms fall
That all my kingdoms fall
That all my kingdoms fall
I surrender all

Sinner’s Prayer

Ray Boltz

(0:14) Lord, You’ve touched my heart today
That is why I’ve come to pray
You see all I have inside
All the things I try to hide

(0:45) Jesus, I believe that You are there
And You’re listening
To this sinner’s prayer
Touch this broken heart and make it new
I believe in You

(1:16) Please forgive me for my sin
All I’ve done and all I’ve been
Serving You forevermore
Everyday You’ll be my Lord

(1:47) Jesus, I believe that You are there
And You’re listening
To this sinner’s prayer
Knowing You’ll remember
What You’ve heard
I believe Your word

(2:18) In Your name this prayer will end
And a new life will begin
Now I know I’m not alone
Hold my hand and lead me home

Set Me Free

Casting Crowns

(0:20) It hasn’t always been this way
I remember brighter days
Before the dark ones came
Stole my mind
Wrapped my soul in chains

(0:40) Now I live among the dead
Fighting voices in my head
Hoping someone hears me crying in the night
And carries me away

CHORUS
(1:00) Set me free of the chains holding me
Is anybody out there hearing me?
Set me free

(1:42) Morning breaks another day
Finds me crying in the rain
All alone with my demons I am
Who is this man that comes my way?
The dark ones shriek
They scream His name
Is this the One they say will set the captive free?
Jesus, rescue me

(2:21) Set me free of the chains holding me
Is anybody out there hearing me?
Set me free

(2:44) As the God man passes by
He looks straight through my eyes
And darkness cannot hide

(3:01) Do you want to be free?
Lift your chains
I hold the key
All power on Heav’n and Earth belong to Me

(3:22) Do you want to be free?
Lift your chains
I hold the key
All power on Heav’n and Earth belong to Me

(3:40) You are free
You are free
You are free

Secret Ambition

Michael W. Smith

(0:22) Young man, up on the hillside
Teaching new ways
Each word, winning them over
Each heart a kindled flame

(0:41) Old men, watch from the outside
Guarding their prey
Threatened by the voice of a paragon
Leading their lambs away
Leading them far away

(1:03) Nobody knew his secret ambition
Nobody knew his claim to fame
He broke the old rules steeped in tradition
He tore the holy veil away
Questioning those in powerful positions
Running to those who called his name
But nobody knew his secret ambition
Was to give his life away

(1:47) His rage, shaking the temple
His word to the wise
His hand, healing on the seventh day
His love wearing no disguise

(2:06) Some say, death to the radical
He’s way out of line
Some say, praised be the miracle
God sends a blessed sign
A blessed sign for troubled times

(2:28) Nobody knew his secret ambition
Nobody knew his claim to fame
He broke the old rules steeped in tradition
He tore the holy veil away
Questioning those in powerful positions
Running to those who called his name
But nobody knew his secret ambition
Was to give his life away…

(3:02) Ohh…  Oh…  Oh…

(2:14) Nobody knew his secret ambition
Nobody knew his claim to fame
He broke the old rules steeped in tradition
He tore the holy veil away
Questioning those in powerful positions
Running to those who called his name
But nobody knew his secret ambition
Was to give his life away

(3:58) Oooohh…

(4:13) No no, No no
I tell you nobody knew
Until he gave his life away
No!

Savior 2

Steven Curtis Chapman

(0:34) Well, who is this angry man I see
In the mirror looking back at me?
It’s a man who’s tired, a man who’s weak
And it’s a man who needs a Savior

(1:16) And who is this fearful little child
Crying out for home, but lost in the wild?
With a lonely heart that’s fading fast
It’s a child who needs a Savior

(1:54) And what is this longing in my soul
That I get so scared and angry?
I need more than just a little help
I need someone who will save me
Come and save me
I need someone to save me
Who will save me?
Come and save me

(2:43) And who is this one nailed to a cross
Who would rather die than leave us lost?
He’s come to rescue us, come to set us free
Hallelujah, hallelujah
It is Christ the Lord… our Savior

(3:22) Music to the End
