Savior 1

Bob Farrel and Greg Nelson

(0:14) So long they have waited as a nation
For a sign of liberation,
Knowing the Messiah soon would come.
So sure if they prayed with perseverance
He would make a swift appearance
Bringing the pow’r to overcome

(0:48) The people said, “We need a Saviour,
Who’ll come in glory and power
Oh Lord, hear our cry.
‘Cause you know we need him now!”
The people said: “Send us a strong King
A man from God to end our suffering
Oh Lord, hear our cry.”

(1:16) Longing for a sweeter taste of freedom
And the day that they would see Him
Coming to lead their people on.
Reigning as the conquering avenger,
Watching enemies surrender,
And finding that liberty had come.

(1:50) The people said, “We need a Saviour,
Who’ll come in glory and power.
Oh Lord, hear our cry.
‘Cause you know we need Him now!”
The people said, “Send us a strong King
A man from God to end our suffering
Oh Lord, hear our cry.”

(2:15) And when He came in His might,
The waiting would know of its worth
For they would govern with Him
And rule over all the earth.

(2:32) The people said, “We need a Saviour,
Who’ll come in glory and power.
Oh Lord, hear our cry.
‘Cause you know we need him Now!”
The people said: “Send us a strong King
A man from God to end our suffering
Oh Lord, hear our cry.”

(3:08) Redemption did not come as they expected
For He came not as a king,
Nor as a thing of beauty,
That they should desire Him

(3:46) Who has believed our message?
And to whom has the are of the Lord been revealed?
He grew up before Him as a tender shoot,
And like a root out of dry ground
He was a Man of sorrows.

(4:08) He was despised and rejected by man
A Man who was acquainted with grief,
And as one from whom men hid their faces,
We regarded as one who was stricken by God
He was a Man of sorrows. He was a Man of sorrows.

(4:38) He was pierced, for our transgressions,
He was bruised, for our iniquities,
By His stripes we are healed
He bore our griefs, He was afflicted,
He was despised; we turned our backs on Him.
A Man of sorrows. A Man of sorrows.

(5:07) It was God’s plan to bruise Him,
That His soul be made an offering for sin.
By the fruit of His suffering He was satisfied.
This righteous servant made many righteous,
Oh, precious Man of sorrows,

(5:32) For he was pierced, for our transgressions,
He was bruised, for our iniquities,
By His stripes we are healed;
He bore our griefs, He was afflicted,
He was despised; we turned our backs on Him.
A Man of sorrows, precious Man of sorrows.

(6:03) Rise up and see your Deliverer!
For it is not by might, and not by power,
But by the spirit of the Living God.
For it is not by might, and not by power,
But by the spirit of the Living God.

(6:47) The people aid, “We need a Saviour,
Who’ll come in glory and power.”
The people said, “Send us a strong King
A man from God to end our suffering
Oh Lord, hear our cry.
‘Cause you know we need you now!”

Prodigal

Prodigal
By Mark Hall

(0:18) Living on my own, thinking for myself
Castles in the sand, temporary wealth
Walls are falling down, storms are closing in
Tears have filled my eyes, here I am again

(0:39) And I’ve held out as long as I can
Now I’m letting go and holding out my hand

(1:00) Daddy here I am again, will you take me back tonight
I went and made the world my friend, and it left me high and dry
I’ve dragged your name back through the mud
That you first found me in
Not worthy to be called your son
Is this to be my end
Daddy here I am
Here I am again

(2:01) Curse this morning sun, drags me in to one more day
I’m reaping what I’ve sown, I’m living with my shame
Welcome to my world, and the life that I have made
One day you’re a prince, the next day you’re a slave

(2:22) And I’ve held out as long as I can
Now I’m letting go and holding out my hand

(2:43)  Daddy here I am again, will you take me back tonight
I went and made the world my friend, and it left me high and dry
I’ve dragged your name back through the mud
That you first found me in
Not worthy to be called your son
Is this to be my end
Daddy here I am
Here I am again

(3:45) And I’ve held out as long as I can
Now I’m letting go and holding out my hand

(4:09) Daddy here I am again, will you take me back tonight
I went and made the world my friend, and it left me high and dry
I’ve dragged your name back through the mud
That you first found me in
Not worthy to be called your son
Is this to be my end
Daddy here I am
Here I am again

Pieces

Pieces
By Red

(1:26) I’m here again
A thousand miles away from you
A broken mess, just scattered pieces of who I am
I tried so hard
Thought I could do this on my own
I’ve lost so much along the way

(2:08) Then I’ll see your face
I know I’m finally yours
I find everything I thought I lost before
You call my name
I come to you in pieces
So you can make me whole

(2:57) I’ve come undone
But you make sense of who I am
Like puzzle pieces in your eye

(3:16) Then I’ll see your face
I know I’m finally yours
I find everything I thought I lost before
You call my name
I come to you in pieces
So you can make me whole!

(4:35) I tried so hard! So hard!
I tried so hard!

(4:54) Then I’ll see your face
I know I’m finally yours
I find everything I thought I lost before
You call my name
I come to you in pieces
So you can make me whole
So you can make me whole

Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb

Ray Boltz

“Dad, has it always been this way?”
” Well, even from the beginning men hated
Jesus even though He did nothing but love
them and teach them and heal them. They
nailed Him to a cross. They thought they
had killed Him, but they only set Him free
to live in the hearts of people like you
and me who believe in Him. Then came the
apostles and most of them were killed for
telling other people about Jesus. So they
tortured them and killed them and even
left their bodies to rot as an example
to other people, but the church kept
right on growing, watered by the blood
of these precious saints.”

“But Dad, did they want to die?”
” No. They didn’t want to die. I mean,
many of them had children just like you
they had to leave behind. But they were
forced to make a choice. They could
choose to live this one life here on
earth and reject Jesus and be damned
or they could choose to believe in
the words of Jesus and live forever.”
” I think I understand.”
” Here, maybe this will help you understand.”

I have heard how Christians long ago
Were brought before a tyrant’s throne
And they were told that he would spare their lives
If they would renounce the name of Christ
But one by one they chose to die
The Son of God they would not deny
Like a great angelic choir sings
I can almost hear their voices ring

I pledge allegiance to the Lamb
With all my strength
With all I am
I will seek to honor His commands
I pledge allegiance to the Lamb

Now the years have come and the years have gone
But the cause of Jesus still goes on
And now our time has come to count the cost
To reject this world, to embrace the cross
And one by one let us live our lives
For the One who died to give us life
Till the trumpet sounds on the final day
Let us proudly stand and boldly say

I pledge allegiance to the Lamb
With all my strength
With all I am
I will seek to honor His commands
I pledge allegiance to the Lamb

To the Lamb of God who bore my pain
Who took my place, who wore my shame
I will seek to honor His commands
I pledge allegiance to the Lamb

“You’ve got to remember that it wasn’t
always this way. I mean, my dad could
even pray in school, of course, they
took that away from him. Then it became
incorrect for us to believe in the bible
and after that they just stripped our
right to worship away from us and we
quietly stood by. But son, I hope that
you’re never put in the position that
you have to choose between your faith
and your life. But if you are – I know
which choice you’re going to make because
I know that Jesus lives inside of you.
In the meantime, just pray like I taught
you how to and take care of your mom and
remember that God is the Father of the fatherless.”

I pledge allegiance to the Lamb
With all my strength
With all I am
I will seek to honor His commands
I pledge allegiance to the Lamb

One King

Point of Grace

Kings of earth on a course unknown
Bearing gifts from afar
Hoping praying
Following yonder star

Silhouette of a caravan
Painted against the sky
Wise men searching
For the Holy Child

(Chorus)
One king held the frankincense
One king held the myrrh
One king held the purest gold
One King held the hope of the world

A star hangs over Bethlehem
A journey ends in the night
Three kings trembling
Behold the glorious sight

Heaven’s treasure Emmanuel
Drawing men to bow down
Tiny baby born to wear a crown

(Repeat Chorus)

God rest ye merry gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember Christ our Savior
Was born on Christmas day
To save us all from satans power
When we were gone astray

Oh tiny baby born to wear a crown

(Repeat Chorus 2 x’s)

One king held the purest gold
One King held the hope of the world

Not 4 Sale

Carman

(0:18) The devil came to my house, knocked on my door
I said, oh my, I know that I have heard this voice before
He said, “You’re quite a talent, the makings of a star
And with a little help from me you really can go far.
I’ll tell you what I told the rest, the rules remain the same.
Don’t glorify, support or even mention Jesus’ name.
Now you can do something that’s positive, but just don’t misbehave.
Like use your noteoriety and get somebody saved.
And don’t you see so vocal about the Truth you know.
The Bible’s bad for business, leave your faith at home.
I’ll give you wealth and fame, far as the eye can see.
Live the way you want, but your career belongs to me.”
The he smiled a crooked smile and winked and evil eye
And said, “Well, whatcha think, my man?” and this was my reply

(1:35) I have been bought with a price when Jesus hung on a tree
My life is not my own, I’ll never follow your lead
You build up all the pleasure of sin in people’s eyes
But never tell the consequences of the compromise
You used to have my number, but this time you will fail
So get thee behind me, Satan, I’m not for sale

(0:20) Take a look at the mountains
Stretching a mile high
Take a look at the ocean
Far as your eye can see
And think of Me

(0:36) Take a look at the desert
Do you feel like a grain of sand?
I am with you wherever
Where you go is where I am

(0:47) And I’m always thinking of you
Take a look around you
I’m spelling it out one by one

(Chorus)
(1:00) I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine, and you shine for me too
I love you yesterday and today
And tomorrow, I’ll say it again and again
I love you more

(1:32) Just a face in the city
Just a tear on a crowded street
But you are one in a million
And you belong to Me

(1:49) And I want you to know
That I’m not letting go
Even when you come undone

(Chorus)
(1:56) I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine, and you shine for me too
I love you yesterday and today
And tomorrow, I’ll say it again and again
I love you more
I love you more

(2:34) Shine for Me
Shine for Me
Shine on, shine on
Shine for Me

(Chorus)
(2:49) I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine, and you shine for me too
I love you yesterday and today
And tomorrow, I’ll say it again and again

(3:12) I love you more than the sun
and the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine, and you shine for me too
I love you, yesterday and today
Through the joy and the pain
I’ll say it again and again
I love you more
I love you more

(3:42) And I see you
And I made you
And I love you more than you can imagine
More than you can fathom
I love you more than the sun
And you shine for me

Mary Did You Know

Mark Lowery

Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you’ve delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know that your baby boy would give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the son of God.

Oh Mary did you know

The blind will see, the deaf will hear,  the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb.

Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven’s perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you’re holding is the great I am.

Invitation

Steven Curtis Chapman

(0:11) In the Palace in the land of mercy
The King looked out from His throne
He saw the sick and the homeless and hungry
He saw me lost and without hope
And moved with compassion
He sent out His only Son
With the invitation
to come

(0:50) This is your invitation
Come just the way you are
Come find what your soul has been longing for
Come find your peace
Come join the feast
Come in
This is your invitation

(1:38) So I stood outside the gates and trembled
In my rags of unworthiness
Afraid to even stand at a distance
In the presence of Holiness
But just as I turned to go
The gates swung open wide
And the King and His only Son
They invited me inside

(2:17) This is your invitation
Come just the way you are
Come find what your soul has been longing for
Come find your peace
Come join the feast
Come in
This is your invitation

(3:14) So now will you come with me
To where the gates swing open wide
The King and His only Son
Are inviting us inside

(3:32) This is our invitation
Come sinner as you are
Come find what your soul has been longing for
Come find your peace
Come join the feast
Come in
This is your invitation
This is our invitation
This is the invitation

He’s Alive

He’s Alive
By David Phelps

(0:19) The gates and doors were barred
And all the windows fastened down
I spent the night in sleeplessness
And rose at every sound
Half in hope of sorrow
And half in fear the day
Would find the soldiers breakin’ through
To drag us all away

(0:42) And just before the sunrise
I heard something at the wall
The gate began to rattle
And a voice began to call
I hurried to the window
Looked down into the street
Expecting swords and torches
And the sound of soldiers’ feet

(1:07) But there was no one there but Mary
So I went down to let her in
John stood there beside me
As she told me where she’d been
She said they’ve moved Him in the night
And none of us know where
The stone’s been rolled away
And now His body isn’t there

(1:28) We both ran towards the garden
Then John ran on ahead
We found the stone and empty tomb
Just the way that Mary said
But the winding sheet they wrapped Him in
Was just an empty shell
And how or where they’d taken Him
Was more than I could tell

(1:54) Oh something strange had happened there
Just what I did not know
John believed a miracle
But I just turned to go
Circumstance and speculation
Couldn’t lift me very high
‘Cause I’d seen them crucify Him
Then I saw Him die

(2:20) Back inside the house again
The guilt and anguish came
Everything I’d promised Him
Just added to my shame
When at last it came to choices
I denied I knew His name
And even if He was alive
It wouldn’t be the same

(2:46) But suddenly the air was filled
With a strange and sweet perfume
Light that came from everywhere
Drove shadows from the room
And Jesus stood before me
With His arms held open wide
And I fell down on my knees
And I just clung to Him and cried

(3:11) Then He raised me to my feet
And as I looked into His eyes
The love was shining out from Him
Like sunlight from the skies
Guilt in my confusion
Disappeared in sweet release
And every fear I ever had
Just melted into peace

(3:45) He’s alive, He’s alive,
He’s alive and I’m forgiven
Heaven’s gates are open wide
He’s alive yes He’s alive
He’s alive and I’m forgiven
Heaven’s gates are open wide
He’s alive Hallelujah He’s alive Praise the Lord
He’s alive and I’m forgiven
Heaven’s gates are open wide
He’s alive He’s alive He’s alive
He’s alive
