Alisha-Making decision about DRAMA leadership retreat

Kayla-for her work and schedule conflicts                                                                                           -staying caught up with school

Scotty-Busyness– working every day. That he would make time for his devos

Emily-To make sure she’s praying about her desicions and to use her free time wisely

Ben-That he wouldn’t be influenced in bad ways by his co-workers                                            -Connect with family members and find time for them

Connor-To involve Christ in his interactions with his Christian friends

Mrs. Smoker-To pray about her decisions

Tim-Praise/Prayer! Had an open day on Monday! That he would take more time like that to rest                                                                                                                                             -Praise! His Thursday meeting went well and he is done with high stress meetings for a while!

Mikey-For his fridge to be healed 🙂                                                                                                       -For his trip to Virginia with the guys to go well                                                                         -Praise/Prayer! Struggling to get up to speed at work but God is teaching him to have a better attitude/less pride in the areas he is still learning in

Trent-For my vist and interview with Grove City College on Thursday

Selena-For her mom as she is busy with grading work and that it would not interfere too much with their family life

Rachael-Praise! Their Family’s furnace is being replaced!                                                                     -Stressed about everything she has to do, fast approaching deadlines for stuff and little time to do it

Caleb-Energy and focus for school and program                                                                               -Praise/Prayer! One kid accepted Jesus in Good News Club and for energy for the volunteers

Jesse-Appreciating his school and not hating it                                                                                  -Praise! A short surgery is scheduled

Janelle-Praise! Hasn’t been overwhelmed with school recently!                                                        -Allergies are acting up

Beta Announcements 10/21/14

-Thursday, October 30th Alpha/Beta barn party @ Jen Denlinger’s barn (262A Belmont Rd. Gordonville, PA 17529) from 6:30-9:00pm. Bring a salty snack to share (AD’s bring drinks). Dress warmly. RSVP to Brooke (email: brooke.a.bias@gmail.com).

-Friday, October 31st Outreach @ Bethany E.C. (1166 Letort Rd. Conestoga, PA 17516) from 5:00-8:00pm. Wear your maroon shirts, and black pants, socks, and shoes. Song list (in order): TIAG, Keys to the Kingdom, Freedom, Love is a Cross, In the Light, End of the Beginning.

-Friday, November 14th Social @ the Fellenbaum’s house (2679 Hemlock Dr. Columbia, PA 17512) at 6:00pm. RSVP by November 8th.

-Sunday, November 16th is the “You Should Come To This” – Parent Presentation that will be held at Blue Ball Church of the Brethren from 7:00-9:00pm. Invite your friends and family! 🙂 Team members need to arrive at 6:00pm. Members, wear your light gray shirts and black pants, socks, and shoes. Leaders, wear your maroon shirts. Bring a sweet snack or dessert to share.

Beta Applications: Oct. 21

Tim: Put Christ first instead of man’s wants and likes. Especially for his church planning paper (due at the end of October)

Trent: Learn to pray about whatever he worries about

Selena: Going to God in prayer when she gets stressed about her homework

Janelle: Stop blaming her actions on being a teenager

Jesse: Stop saying he has four more years until he graduates as an excuse for acting immature, when he should me mature now

Caleb: Put God at the head of his thoughts because he can let his mind wander

Rachael: Founding what she learns on the Bible; if she hears something, to look it up in the Bible

Kayla: Prioritize learning more worship songs and what kind of music she listens to

Alisha: Making decisions

Freakin Scotty: Take opportunities to talk about Christ with his coworkers

Hannah: Prioritize her schoolwork

Emily: Make sure she prays and seeks God every time she makes a decision this week

Ben: Find ways to connect with other believers

Connor: Try to involve Christ more in his interactions with his Christian friends

Ben- To be more grounded in his beliefs and to have integrity

Tim-to be abounding in thankfulness in difficult situations                                                          -Thursday meeting at 1 with Pastor

Caleb-To not compromise his beliefs because he wants to fit in

Jesse-For his mood

Rachael-Her brother David’s birthday is on Sunday so pray that she wouldn’t be depressed                                                                                                                                                       -Her mom is leaving and she has to take care of the house

Alisha-Playing piano for worship on Sunday, that she would take time to practice and for a good attitude

Hannah-Took her PSATs on Wednesday

Mrs. Fellenbaum-Found out today that her son Matthew will need another surgery. Also pray for how to tell him

Janelle-Took her PSATs on Wednesday

Selena-For a speech she is preparing and then presenting on Monday for co-op

Emily-Not to focus on details, but to look to God

Scott-Praise! Wedding on Saturday went well!                                                                                    -For his busy schedule

Connor-To be able to balance his work and school schedules

Me-I would like continued prayer for future plans, college, etc.

-This Sunday, October 19th Beta social @ the Martin’s house at 4:30pm. RSVP to Caleb if you are coming!

Beta Prayer Request 10/7/14

Bonjour Beta!

Here are the prayer requests/praises for this week!

All-Praise! Carlos and Migdalia’s was awesome!                                                                            -For our outreach this Saturday

Ben-To make Bible time a priority time each day, since he has not been reading much            lately on his own                                                                                                                         -Manage his money better since he has been spending too much                                        -Grow closer to his brother David, since they are distant

Emily-Very busy, that she would have peace and to keep seeking God throughout the               busyness                                                                                                                                       -Family is going to the Cabin this weekend, but Alisha and her have to stay at                    home. Pray for peace and for a good weekend despite not going to the cabin.

Alisha-Peace in her crazy busy schedule and finding time for intentional prayer                          -Speaking for Saturday outreach, for attitude and focus

Trenton-For my mom as she is in the hospital with kidney stones and for us as we try                   to manage the house                                                                                                                   -For a more submissive and willing heart attitude towards God and his plans                   -That I would encourage my friends more and be bold in asking them about                   their spiritual life

Janelle-Prep for PSAT next Wednesday                                                                                                   -Continued growth and knowledge of God                                                                               -Grace in abundance with younger siblings                                                                               -Continued health with allergies being strong

Beta Announcements 10/7/14

Hey Beta, here are our announcements for the week! 🙂

-This Saturday, October 11th Outreach at Joshua’s Hands. (in Waterford, Virginia) Meet at Giant at 7:00am. Back around 8:15pm. Meals provided. Wear your maroon shirts and black pants, socks, and shoes. We’ll be wearing mime paint, so girls, have your hair done. We will be presenting three different times and here are the song lists (in order)… First: TIAG, Healing Begins, Via Dolorosa, Go. Second: TIAG, Love is a Cross, In the Light, End of the Beginning. Third: TIAG, Healing Begins, Via Dolorosa, Love is a Cross, End of the Beginning, In the Light, Go.

-Tuesday, October 14th Outreach @ Grace Baptist Church of Millersville. We will be having our practice there as well, so meet at Grace Baptist at normal practice time, 3:30pm. Done around 8:30pm. Wear your light gray shirts and jeans. Supper provided.

All- Praise! Last Outreach went well!

Mikey- Healing for his body, especially his knee

Ben-For wise use of his free time
-For his attitude in his relationship with his Dad,

Janelle-Prep for PSATs in 2 weeks and for a good score

Rachael -For Lily their dog to heal from her injuries she got when someone tried to steal her
-for her busyness

Alisha-Feeling overwhelmed with schedule, that she would prioritize things

Kayla-Praise! Finally caught up with school!                                                                                         -she is tired

Connor- Time to get together with Ben

Selena-For her family cabin trip and for good fellowship with her family. Also that she would be able to get her school done beforehand.

Beta announcements 9/30/14.

Here are the announcements from Beta practice (9/30/14)!

-This Saturday, October 4th Workday at Carlos & Migdalia’s. Meet at Giant at 6:30am, and we’ll be back around 9:00pm. Wear clothes that can get dirty. Bring a packed supper or money. We still need another driver and vehicle; Let Tim know if you know of anyone who would be willing do it.
